Sun...Finally

Finally we have a day where the west wind came up and blew some of the low hanging clouds out of the Bella Coola Valley that have been hanging around for days and we had sun.  It was a nice break from a really poor session of weather.  The 19 C we had was no record, but it felt quite nice.

Today's photo is of the leaves of the Douglas Maple, a very common maple tree throughout the Bella Coola Valley with these particular leaves being seriously affected by a gall forming mite, that creates a cushion of velvety red which stands out quite well. Grizzly
