Fir and Cedar Forest

Another so so day of cloudy weather in Bella Coola, it seems it has become normal this year to look out in the morning and see clouds and wet ground.

The photo is today is typical of the old growth cedar and fir forests in the upper Atnarko River Valley (headwaters to the Bella Coola River) where the drier conditions prevail and there is a lot less underbrush than the coastal forests.  Grizzly
