Late Lilacs

In 2010 the purple lilac bushes in our yard were flowering around May 13.  This year they have just started to open in the last two days, a full 10 days late.  The phenology of lilac flowering dates are a good indicator of seasons and climate, so the lateness this year is consistent with our cool spring. 1. Beautiful pictures, at least things are progressing finally :)Our weather in the 100 Mile House area is behind also and cooler than normal.Usually I have planted some annual flowers by now but with the coolness this year haven't even bought any as I want them to do well. How has fishing been down in the valley so far this spring ? We are coming down for the July long weekend for our first trip of the year to the valley after the flood, am sure there will be many changes to see.
