Bears are Back

It seemed a bit late this year, but in the last two weeks the number of bear sightings is really picking up.  The bears in the Bella Coola Valley look pretty happy grazing on grass and the odd skunk cabbage patch early in season when there is still a lot of snow in the mountains.  It's going to be awhile before they can move onto their favourite avalanche track run out zones that are so rich and lush in the spring soon after the snow finally goes.
