Glacial Grey

With hot weather, the glacial fed tributary streams to the Bella Coola River like the Nusatsum River in this photo, really start to show their true colours - so to speak.  The grey colour of the water is caused by the fine pulverized rock and silts which the summer glacial melt is  contributing.  It will get more green and much more attractive looking as we go into August and nights start to cool down slowing the glacial melt down.
