Snow

Even if I had tried it would have been a waste of time trying to get a photo in the lower Bella Coola Valley today, it was such a dreary, foggy, slightly drizzly day that you would have been disappointed.  Tonight it has turned to snow in my portion of the valley, so we'll probably get a little bit, but it's close to rain lower down the valley.  Grizzly

  1. While the valley is in it's winter cycle so is Hawaii. Clouds, wind and rain this year seem to be becoming a pattern. Temperatures are a little below normal with low tempertures dropping to 10 to 18 celsius depending upon one's elevation. Days are still nice on the leeward side with sun and 25 degrees. There is even some snow on Muana Kea. There is no perfect place but you and I live in a couple of the best, all things considered.

  2. Even the top of Muana Kea would be a better place than the Bella Coola Valley the last 24 hrs! The rain we are having came straight from Hawaii, we are just lucky the upper air temperature 2500 m and above has stayed cold, otherwise the 2" of rain in my rain gauge since noon yesterday would have been a disaster. Enjoy your winter - I wish I was there. Grizzly
